I am a work in progress.
As I considered a name for my blog, many ideas came to mind, but nothing seemed to be just right.
I wanted to share about a lot of things, so it seemed impossible to narrow it down.
One day, as I worked to refinish an old piece of furniture that we found thrown out on the side of the road, some thoughts came to me that helped me decide.
The task at hand seemed overwhelming, and as I sanded and painted, I knew I could never finish in a day.
The piece was an old chiffarobe that had been left out in the weather so long it smelled of rot and decay.
The drawers wouldn’t open, and the whole thing just seemed to be falling apart.
But when I looked at it, I saw what it could be.
Maybe that’s how God feels when He looks at us.
There is so much work to be done, but He sees our potential.
He isn’t discouraged when He sees our faults, failures and weaknesses, because He has a plan.
He has breathed new life into us, through His Son, Jesus Christ, and He won’t stop working on us until we are complete!
He doesn’t finish with us all at once, but works on us one day at a time, to create His masterpiece.
From these thoughts, “Mouchka In The Making” was born.
I wanted to share about my faith, DIY projects, family, food, and so much more.
To me, it just makes sense.
Whether I am making crafts, furniture, good food, or memories, I know that God is also at work in my heart, making me who He intends for me to be.
I invite you to be a part of this journey. I am still far from being a finished product. Hopefully we can encourage each other along the way!
